Artistic Design Highlights Local Landscape

The Manhole Card showcases a beautifully intricate design that captures the essence of the local environment. The manhole cover itself depicts iconic elements of the region, including:

  • Mount Fuji’s majestic silhouette
  • The serene surface of Saiko (Lake Sai)
  • Kunimasu, a rare fish species first confirmed in the lake in 2010

Card Features and Collectible Appeal

The card provides more than just a visual treat:

  • Front side displays the detailed manhole cover artwork
  • Reverse side offers informative descriptions about local highlights
  • Includes details about Kunimasu and the traditional thatched-roof houses at the Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba (Saiko Healing Village)

Part of a Nationwide Cultural Initiative

This Manhole Card is part of a broader national project by the Sewerage Public Platform (GKP), which encourages local municipalities to create unique, collectible cards. Fuji Kawaguchiko Town has previously released two other designs, including “Early Summer Mount Fuji” and “Kai Katsuyama Yabusame Festival.”
